OLD SCHOOL WINS AN OVERTIME THRILLER IN DENVER
I t was a high scoring affair Thursday at Mile High Stadium. The last time that the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game featured the Young Guns against the Old School was in the summer of 2005. That year the youngin’s took out their elders in overtime. This year, it was the Old School squad who took home the victory in overtime.
Old Schooler Ryan Boyle finally hit the first goal almost four minutes into the game. Minutes later game Merrick Thomson put in one for the Young Guns. Immediately following the score, the team all sprinted out to midfield for a photo shoot taken by professional photographer Brett Queener. MVP Brian Langtry added a 2-pointer to the Old School’s total. Both squads scored five in the first, leaving the match tied up.
