It is often noted that Major League Lacrosse players hold full time jobs in addition to their roles as top lacrosse professionals. However, for six MLL stars working for Trilogy Lacrosse, their full time job and on-field play are inextricably linked. Trilogy Lacrosse was founded by Boston Cannons captain Ryan Boyle in 2005 and provides lacrosse Instruction, Competition and Education to players, parents and coaches across the country. Since its inception 10 summers ago, Trilogy has helped tens of thousands of lacrosse families take the next step in their development whether it is placing All-Americans at the NCAA level or simply developing a love for the game in youth players and coaches.
This dedication to providing lacrosse enthusiasts with a positive experience has also allowed Trilogy to recruit some of the top MLL talent to join its ranks. In addition to Boyle, Mitch Belisle, Chase Carraro, Brian Farrell, Matt Striebel and Chad Wiedmaier all help Direct Trilogy’s events throughout the year (while also preparing for and competing in the MLL Season). The Trilogy team is tasked with taking the concepts and skills they apply every weekend on the field and creating the audience-specific Curriculum that Trilogy uses to teach the sport. The Trilogy KYP Curriculum™ is the guiding principle behind all of the hours Ryan, Mitch, Chase, Brian, Matt and Chad spend Instructing. It is also the foundation for Trilogy’s Program Development Package, which aims to take entire lacrosse programs to the next level.
“Each program has it own unique set of circumstances – coaching staff depth, history / tradition, weather, facility, parent expectations, player experience…I could go on and on,” Ryan Boyle asserts. “Therefore, if we want to help a program we must cater our services to their needs.”
These Program Development Packages are a comprehensive set of Clinics designed to help programs where and when they need it most. While so much of the sport has drifted into simply playing games and getting exposure, Trilogy still believes in the inherent value of Instruction and Education. Their Program Development Packages approach the three key focal points that can help take the program to the next level:
· Player Training: utilizing a customized schedule and event management
· Coaches Training: the program picks strategic topics from Trilogy KYP Curriculum™
· Parent Training: featuring presentations on X’s & O’s, parents’ off-field role, or recruiting
By providing the next generation of players, coaches and parents with the best Instruction, Competition and Exposure, Trilogy Lacrosse hopes that the MLL of the future will feature the very players they helped to guide.
