Outlaws extend winning streak in 15-8 win

.-- Led by a 21-save performance by goalie Jack Kelly, the Denver Outlaws improved to 4-0 on the season with a 15-8 road victory over the Florida Launch (1-2). The win marks Denver’s 12th consecutive victory dating back to June 24, 2016, and their third 4-0 start to a season in team history.

Attackman Mike Bocklet entered the game as the MLL’s leading goal-scorer and added to that mark with a career-high-matching five goals.

Attackman Eric Law (two goals, two assists) and midfielder Jeremy Sieverts (2pt goal, two assists) each recorded four points, while attackman Matt Kavanagh recorded his second hat trick of the season.

Denver opened the game on a 4-0 scoring run and did not allow a goal in the first or third quarter. Florida scored a pair of goals early in the second quarter, but a two-point goal by Sieverts at the 7:26 mark swung all momentum back in favor of the visitors.

Trailing 13-5 entering the fourth quarter, the Launch tried to spark a comeback with a 3-0 scoring run, but ultimately came up short.

Denver will be on a bye in Week 5 before heading back home for a matchup with the Rochester Rattlers on May 27.
