Major League Lacrosse has named Dallas Rattlers' rookie attackman Ben Reeves the Cascade Rookie of the Week for Week 13. The Rattlers trailed the Denver Outlaws 11-7 with 13:30 left in the game before rallying for a 13-12 victory and clinching home-field advantage for one of MLL's semifinal games on Aug. 11. Reeves set up the second of Zack Greer's two fourth-quarter goals that narrowed the lead to 11-9 with 12:16 remaining. Two goals by Dallas Ryan McNamara tied the score at 11-11 before Matt Kavanagh put Denver back in front with 8:21 left. Jordan MacIntosh tied the game at 12-12 at the 3:51 mark.
After the teams traded turnovers, the clock wound down to :23 left in the game when Dallas called a timeout. Reeves received the ball with :14 left from goal line extended and circled to 11 yards in front of the cage before unleashing the game-winning shot past Denver rookie goaltender Matt Hanley with :10 left in the game. Reeves finished the contest with two goals and an assist for the afternoon.
