Bryan Cole Dominates in 2019

Cole Has Been Named MLL’s Best Midfielder in 2019

Boston, MA- Bryan Cole is quite simply the best midfielder in the world. Cole put together one of the most complete seasons in league history. He led midfielders in goals with 39 and points with 53.

Cole was the leader of a historically good offense for the Blaze which lead the league with 229 total goals for a goals-per-game percentage of 14.3. Cole was named an MLL All-Star for the first time in his career this year and was nominated for the Coca-Cola MLL MVP Award as well as the New Balance Offensive Player of the Year.

Blaze President Spencer Ford said, “Bryan is clearly a fantastic player, his ability to do everything on the field is what sets him apart from the rest. Other than the goalie, and I am unsure if he can do that too, he plays O, he plays D, he plays the wing on FO, he can go Man Up or Man Down. We were so impressed with all that he did, his compete level is like no other! The thing about Bryan that puts him as my #1 is the way he treats people that he plays w and for, it’s amazing to see him leave it all on the field.”

Cole will return to the Blaze next season following the franchises best season to date. The Blaze made their first playoff appearance in 2019 before falling to the Chesapeake Bayhawks in the MLL Semifinals. Cole will be joined by fellow stars Liam Byrnes, Shayne Jackson, Randy Staats, and Brendan Sunday. The Blaze will look to finish what they started by winning an MLL Championship next season.

If you can’t wait till June to see Bryan Cole play again, you can watch him in the NLL this winter for the Georgia Swarm.
